We Are Coming Down to the Wire…

We Are Coming Down to the Wire…

The Lord is going to return, I think sooner rather than later. I can’t place a date on it and don’t want too. With everything that is happening, in the secular news and in the lives of your brothers & sisters, these day’s I see his return has become very imminent.

If you have been following the Facebook post from the page, “Things a Handicapped Man Ponders”, https://www.facebook.com/ThePonderingHandicappedMan/, you will see that I don’t like to make predictions on what time the Lord will come again but, I feel the time is very eminent. With all of what has happened in 2017, all over the world. I am a bit amazed that the Lord has not come back for his children yet. I do know that everything has to be on the Lord’s schedule.

If you have followed this website since I changed it from graphic design to God design, you will be able to see that we are living in the last days. I mean, we are living at 11:58 pm and, the Lord is coming at midnight. I think we are on the cuffs of the tribulation period. I believe that the Lord will come back for the true believers before all hell breaks loose. With all of the things that are happening, I hear and read some disturbing things about sin. In God’s Word, it says if you sin willfully after Salvation, there is the chastisement from the Lord to pay.

I will say in my own life, I have seen the blessed Lord’s chastisement. You don’t dwell on your downfallings but, you look for ways to build yourself back up from your mistakes through the reading & studying God’s Word. God puts those things in your life to make you a better follower of Christ. Let me say that you have to be a born-again follower of Christ if you are in a mess now. If you aren’t, and you are at the end of your life, trust Jesus to take all the cares of this life, and put your faith and trust in Him. Find a church that holds to the King James Bible, preaches the Gospel of Christ, and read and study your Bible daily.

Apostle Paul Shipwrecked on Malta

But, from reading the Word of God… Knowing that I am not righteous, in God’s eyes. Knowing that I was on my way to hell if I had not repented, to Christ for my sins. Knowing that I could never do anything on my own to make myself a person as righteous as Christ, who shed his precious blood for me, to cleanse and make me whole. Now, Jesus is seated at the right hand of God and has given me the Holy Ghost to guide me, what a Saviour!

God has left His Word, with the writings of the many different men of God, Prophets, and the Apostles to let me know, that my life isn’t that bad with what chastisement I have received. Paul was one that was built on chastisement, Paul said in the book of…

Hebrews 12:1-11
1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. 4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

No believer can say that they haven’t done those things…

5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

I am not saying if you haven’t received chastisement like Paul or myself had, you’re not a born-again believer. But, you will know in your heart if you have received chastisement from God if you are a believer.

9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. 11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Don’t you know that the different people in your life, that are born-again believers, that try to follow the Will of the Father, will give you the best guiding hand in life? They are nothing like God but, if you just take their advice that is given to you when you ask and use it to the fullest, you will never go wrong. If you take their counsel and study the Word of God, you have to study the Word of God daily to decern between good counsel and bad.

Philippians 4:4-13
4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. 10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

There are a few verses in Proverbs chapter 1:24-32, that says you can do anything you want. Now, whether the Lord will be involved is something you will have to find out for yourself. Like I have said before, you need to read your Bible and pray throughout the day so, you will grow, grow, grow. Don’t read your Bible, forget to pray you’ll shrink, shrink, shrink.

If you are doing what you want to do… Not praying to God, not doing what the Word of God tells you to, not listening for or to the Holy Ghost, maybe you just need to re-examine your Salvation. 2 Corinthians 13:5, Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith.

If you find yourself in the faith or born-again, you need to first ask for repentance from God. You should always come to the Lord with a repentant heart, especially when you have gone against Him.

If you are a born-again believer and you have been a follower of Jesus Christ for more than five years, where are you within the scheme of things?

Matthew 16:25-28
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. 28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

So, what does all of this mean? Where are the pastors, deacons, brothers & sisters in Christ? Have they sold out to the things of this world? I know, it’s just a phase. Why has this phase been going on for 70 years? It is time to throw out all that doth so easily beset us, 1 Corinthians 9:24-27. There is a little time left before Christ return. Let’s finish this race good because we are coming down to the wire.
