What Has God Told Me To Do…

What Has God Told Me To Do…

If You’re In The Will Of God You Will Sin, Less?

I was told that if I live my life and sinless of the time, God would send Revival in my life; which would bring Revival to the Church I attend. Because the other members had the same message preached to them. I do believe if you don’t just sin willfully that God will do things for your life but, will that bring Revival to your life?

Now, that is true to an extent. God wants me to sin less that is something that I am striving for every minute of the day. But, God also wants me to do as I am told by Him. By doing the Will of the Father, there is a Great reward. By doing the will of God and his will only, that is something that will take work. Because I can do whatever seems right in man’s eyes but, am I doing what God has told me to do?

Judges 6:36-40

36 And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said,

37 Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.

38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.

39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.

40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.

Gideon was a warrior for God, that is what today’s Christian is supposed to be too. Gideon did things in his own will, which I do at times but, I want to have the things done by the will of God. You can live a Christian life, that you have to work at but, Gideon didn’t want that for himself. Gideon finally wanted whatever God had for him.

Let me say it is not nice when you don’t hear from the Holy Ghost. That is usually due to your lack of following what he has told you to do in the past. Believe me, I know how you Not my will, but thine, be done. reminds me of some other verses…

Luke 22:39-45 Matthew 26:30-45

39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.

We are to follow God, as Jesus did, in whatever situation He puts us in. As you know, the next couple of chapters over, Jesus dies on the Cross but His Resurrection from God was Glorious.

40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,

I think a lot of people get stuck at this point. We pray for the temptation to pass but, that is it. Then we just let God do whatever He wants, not you.

41 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

But, as Christ wanted to follow God.

43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

God will send a comforter if you follow his will.

44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

It may seem hard to do what God tells you but, even if you have a hard time doing it. Nothing will change in your life on earth but, you will find the Glory of whatever you do for God in his Will.

45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

I think that most Christians are like the disciples. We are the ones not following what God has for us to do. The Christians of today are not in the Will of God in their lives because they don’t want to be in the physical or mental pain, or you just have a selfish will. You can do whatever you want but, I want to do what God tells me to do, not man.
