2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
If you come to church and want to find out what God has for you to do, you are on your way to being led by God. There are a lot of people who have no idea of what I just said. Let me say it this way, if you come to church and you expect to be led by a man, and you have a man to lead you, you should expect Salvation in your life soon. Let me say that it is not unnecessary for a man to lead a man into Salvation because I had different people in my life that pointed me towards Christ Jesus. I would be one of the most miserable men on earth if I didn’t have people in my life that pointed me in the conservative way. Now, that I know that I am saved through the scripture and the Blood of Jesus Christ and through Him only, I believe in my heart, that I am led by God to do certain things. I don’t expect anyone to know the way that God is leading me, nor do I know how God is leading you. In saying that, every born again Christian has obligations to for fill in their local church, and in their lives.
Paul said that he had salvation in the best way…
1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
If you are a born again believer, you know that you were once like this a person who lived by the flesh. The only thing you would do is if there was something in it for you. But, someone offered up God in front of your eyes, you began to think about the things of God, the bible, your life, and finally your soul. Then you started asking questions that no man could answer, but God could and can.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12 That at that time ye were without Christ,
being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Once you have the blessing of Salvation in your life you will know without a shadow of doubt that you are Christ’s,
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
I believe in my heart, that I am just an instrument in the amazing ensemble of God’s orchestra, and Jesus Christ is the musician playing me. To be a part of God’s orchestra, you must be an instrument that Jesus Christ can pick up or put down. Saying that, I must have Jesus in my heart, as the master of my life. I can not do all of the things that I want to do because, God will let Jesus live through me if I let him into the amazing concert hall, which is my life. It is not I, that wants to do what God says to do all the time, it is the Holy Ghost within my heart, that tells me what to do. So, I can be a precious instrument of Jesus Christ’.
If you know anything about my life, you would know that I had and have to work at everything that I have gotten in life. Whether it be growing up as the baby of the family of five with two older brothers, playing football in high school, suffering the loss of mobility, knowledge, and having a giant cerebral artery aneurysm near the circle of Willis and thus knowing and finding the sense of use of my body, & finding what I could do with myself after that happened.
I have lived a very expensive life, and that wasn’t all my doings. From doing everything that man had for me and finally, choosing to do what God has for me to do in the life that is Jesus Christ’s because, Jesus paid it all, and it is all to him I owe. It only took forty-one years, and a lot of heartaches to find the will of God for my life. If you are a person that has the assurance that Jesus Christ has picked you up I am not saying that it would take as long as it did for me as for you but, if you are not in the will of God, you will know it. I think of a place in the book of Psalms…
1 I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3 And he hath put a new song in my
mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
4 Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Find the will of God in your life. I don’t want to say that it will be peaches and cream for everyone to live in the will of God because it isn’t, but you will find rest in whatever situation that you find yourself in. If you see all the things that are happening in the world, your country, your state, your community, and finally your church, I want to say, Look toward Heaven our Lord is returning soon.
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye
are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
It is vital to point out to man the only one who can give anyone Salvation is Jesus Christ. Thus, you better think God for the people who are sharing the Gospel with you even if you are saved by the Blood. It is also important to let new believers or, Christians hear what the Word of God says to do. But, for the person that doesn’t really know about this whole Christian thing, read on…
5 Having a form of Godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
You can look right, act right, even go to a church. But, if you deny the Holy Ghost telling you to find Salvation through Jesus Christ, you just have a form of Godliness but deny the power of Jesus Christ.
